The Sixth Annual Relay for Life took place Friday at the Monterey High School Track.
Thousands of luminaries lined the field in remembrance of those who have lost a battle with cancer. The event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year and this year, Relay for Life Chairman, Tony Lloyd says he hopes to continue that tradition.
"It's just a fun way for the community to come together and raise money in the fight against cancer." said Lloyd.
The walkers stayed up all night to raise money in the fight against cancer.
