Warmer On The South Plains, For Awhile

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Several cold fronts will move across the South Plains area in the days ahead, but with only 36 to 48 hours between passages, there will not be enough time for moisture to increase enough for precipitation. The air may remain too dry even for fog.

This morning mostly fair and cold with Lubbock-area early morning temperatures in the 20s, wind chills in the teens.

This afternoon mostly sunny, gusty, warmer. High in the mid 50s.

Tonight mostly fair and cold. Overnight low in the low 20s.

Saturday partly cloudy with a windy afternoon. High near 60 degrees.

Sunday partly cloudy and windy. Morning low in the mid to upper 20s. High in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
