TTU Graduate To Head DEA

A Texas Tech Graduate will be the next leader of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Karen Tandy, a 1977 Graduate of the Texas Tech University Law School, will be the first woman to head the agency.

Tandy's nomination was confirmed by the U.S. Senate last Thursday. She now awaits the approval of President Bush. Tandy is a native of Fort Worth and previously served as a Federal Prosecutor in Virginia and Washington.
