City Closes Toledo Ave. at Request Of Neighborhood - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

From now on, Toledo Avenue is closed to traffic at Brownfield Highway.

In June, residents living near the site of the Marsha Sharp Freeway expressed noise concerns and suggested Toledo be closed, to avoid putting a break in the sound wall. The city granted their request and a permanent barricade is now in place.

The traffic signal at Toledo and Bownfield is no longer operational and will be removed October 1st.
