After The Snow Forecast

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Last night's light snow has moved out of the viewing area and our prolonged dry period resumes. The Lubbock airport reports a total of .03" of liquid precipitation. Many areas picked up a dusting of snow. The Lubbock airport went 72 days - almost 73 - without measurable precipitation. The last significant precipitation was 2.57" of rain on October 21st and 22nd.

Early this morning watch for patchy ice that is possible on bridges and overpasses, and for areas of low visibility in patchy fog. Late morning skies will be sunny. Lubbock-area early morning temperatures in the low 20s.

This afternoon sunny and cool with a high in the low 50s.

Tonight partly cloudy and cold with a low temperature in the low 20s.

Wednesday partly cloudy and cool. High near 50 degrees.

Thursday sunny with a warmer afternoon. Low low 20s, high near 60 degrees.

Friday mostly sunny, warmer, with a high in the mid 60s.
