Lubbock unemployment drops, 3rd best in Texas

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Good news for the Lubbock economy; December's unemployment rate fell 3 tenths of a percentage point to 5.8% according to the Texas Workforce Commission, which is considerably lower than the state unemployment rate at 8.3%

Lubbock's unemployment was at 6.1% November.  Lubbock has the third lowest unemployment rate in Texas, behind Midland and Amarillo.
