LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A candidate running to replace outgoing senator Kay Bailey Hutchison made a stop in the Hub City early Thursday morning.
Texas Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones stopped in at Daybreak Coffee this morning. She's making several stops around the state as part of her announcement to run for U.S. Senate. Jones joins a crowded field in the race for the Republican Party's nomination in 2012. Another railroad commissioner, Michael Williams, officially announced his candidacy today, and former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz said he was running last week.
