'Stuff The Bus' School Supply Drive

Your help is needed to "Stuff the Bus". The South Plains Food Bank and United Supermarkets are teaming up to gather school supplies for low-income families.

The drive begins Saturday, August 9th and continues through Saturday, August 16th .

You can drop off your donations at any United Supermarket or you can donate money so that supplies can be bought. If you can't afford to buy supplies, you can help collect donations and distribute those supplies at the South Plains Food Bank.

Supplies needed include the following:

  • #2 pencils, crayons
  • scissors
  • boxes of facial tissue
  • markers
  • Sharpies
  • blue & black pens
  • colored pencils
  • elementary school tablet
  • wide rule paper (no college ruled)
  • folders
  • rulers
  • highlighters
  • spiral notebooks
  • notebook binders

Last year, over 2,500 children received the supplies they needed thanks to the Stuff the Bus Campaign. Since 1991, the South Plains Food Bank has helped prepare 16,000 children for the first day of school.

To volunteer your time, call Trine with the South Plains Food Bank at (806) 763-3003.
