A Lubbock County family could use your help, after the tragic death of their daughter.
Twenty-three month-old Mikenna Kirk died early Wednesday morning at University Medical Center. She had been on life support since Sunday night. That's when she fell into a small wading pool behind the family home.
Mikenna was the daughter of corporal Chad Kirk, a jailer for the Lubbock County Sheriffs Department and a part time security officer at South Plains Mall.
The mall has set up a fund to help the family with expenses. You can donate to any Plains National Bank Branch, under the Mikenna Kirk Memorial Fund.
