Shamar Myles Medical Fund

Coaches at Big Spring High School are asking for your prayers. Instead of getting ready for the Fall season, a junior defensive back for the Big Spring Steers is in a drug-induced coma at Covenant Hospital now after suffering two strokes in the last two weeks.

Seventeen year old Shamar Myles's Coach Dwight Butler says Myles started last year and played all 13 games for the steers, but that the first stroke in Big Spring was not football-related. The second stroke came at the hospital on Monday.

The team is planning a fundraiser now for Myles and his family. If you would like to contribute, a medical fund has been set up at the Big Spring Educational Employees Credit Union. Or you can call the Big Spring Field house for more information. That number is (432) 264-3662.
