Alcohol and excessive speed may be factors in a motorcycle accident that left two men in critical condition Sunday night. The accident happened on US-87 about one mile south of Woodrow Road around 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses say that the driver of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the bike and flipped three times end over end. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike while the passenger remained pinned underneath it.
DPS says alcohol may be a factor in the wreck. Both men, who are in their early 40's, were taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
