Lubbock To Honor 9-11 Victims

On September 11th, 3,412 flags will fly over Lubbock.

It's an American tribute to each person who died at the hands of terrorists at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field. It is also a tribute to the First Responders who tried to save them and to those who continue to save lives everyday.

This event will be the first of its kind in Texas. The flags will be on display September 11th through the 14th, at Kastman Park in South Lubbock. Right now volunteers are being called on to help set up the display. If you are interested you can call 789-3524.

When the display ends, each flag will be sold for 25 dollars, which will benefit nursing scholarships.
