Lubbock County Constable arrested overnight

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County Constable is on the wrong side of the law and out of jail.   Idalou police arrested Precinct Three Constable Ronnie Vasquez Sunday night around 10:30  for assault and criminal trespass.  

Idalou police Chief Albert Garcia says his officers got a call from a resident who had asked Vasquez to leave the property multiple times.   According to a preliminary report, Chief Garcia says Vasquez slammed the gate on the property owner which hit the owner.  

A more detailed report from the Idalou police is expected later.   Vasquez bonded out of jail around 1:00 Monday morning.
