LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A former Lubbock police officer was in court Tuesday, asking a judge to reduce his bond and make it easier for him to get out of jail until he goes to trial. Jason Hignight, 32, resigned from the police department right before he was arrested last month. He was still held Tuesday in lieu of a $200,000 bond.

Hignight is indicted on accusations of molesting two underage girls in his home.  Hignight testified that the allegations were instigated by one of his adopted daughters who had come from sexual abuse situation.  The judge will decide later this week if his bond can be reduced.
