LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County jury on Wednesday began deliberations in the Corey Conner murder trial.  Before the afternoon was over, jurors found Conner, 25, guilty.

Conner went on trial in November of last year, but proceeding were called off because a juror knew one of the witnesses.  Conner is accused of shooting and killing Bobby Jones, 23, outside the Fiesta Ballroom at 4th and MLK in December of 2009.

A brand new trial started this week, and in closing arguments the prosecution argued that six eyewitnesses saw the shooting.  Prosecutors also pointed out that Conner was arrested across state lines in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Conner's defense attorney pointed out that police have no DNA evidence and did not find a weapon.  Conner's defense also argued that Conner was found out of state because he was innocent.

Jurors sided with the prosecution and the trial continues to determine Conner's punishment Thursday.
