Local drivers honored for delivering safe driving record

By James Clark - email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Four local UPS drivers are honored for 25 years of safe driving, the company announced last week.  The four local drivers were among 63 UPS drivers in Texas added to the company's Circle of Honor for accident-free driving.

The four local drivers are:

  • Lance Dunn of Lubbock
  • Manuel Martinez of Lubbock
  • Tommy McNeice of Lubbock
  • Curtis Thompson of Plainview

"Texas boasts 364 active Circle of Honor drivers with a combined 10,306 years of accident-free driving," UPS said in a written statement.

UPS says its drivers worldwide log "more than 3 billion miles a year" and average "less than one accident for every million miles driven."
