LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock teenager who sued both the state & federal governments over gun rights will not continue the fight, but instead hand off his lawsuit to two other people who will replace him as plaintiffs.  James D'Cruz says in court records that he has moved to Florida with his parents.

"Because he is no longer living in Texas, Mr. D'Cruz no longer wishes to be a named Plaintiff in this Texas-based lawsuit," court records say.

Rebekah Jennings and Brennan Harmon will replace D'Cruz, along with Andrew Payne and the National Rifle Association who were already plaintiffs in the case.

Back in September D'Cruz filed two lawsuits in Lubbock federal court.  He claimed that the state & federal governments are violating the Second Amendment to the Constitution by unfairly restricting certain gun rights of persons between the ages of 18 and 20.
