LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock has gone out for bids on a major renovation of the city's downtown bus station. Public records say the project consists of a 2,097 square-foot addition and the renovation of 3,798 square feet of existing space.
Bid documents do not say how much is set aside for the project but late last year the city accepted a $673,000 TxDOT grant for the project. Up until 2008, the downtown transfer station handled Citibus but now it also handles Greyhound buses. Bids are due February 23rd.
The project must be completed within 300 days of when the City and a contractor finalize a contract.
