LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Fire Marshal's office says a fire in Clapp Park Sunday afternoon was arson.
Firefighters got the call of a grass fire in the park just after 1:30 PM. The fire department says one or more juvenile males started the fire and one of them got caught by an off-duty peace officer. Although there were no reports of injuries or property damage, dry conditions and high winds could have made things much worse, the Fire Marshal's office says.
