LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A brief standoff between Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies and a suspect ended peacefully Tuesday afternoon.  Callers to the KCBD NewsChannel 11 newsroom wanted to know why officers had a house surrounded in the 1700 block of East 48th Street.

Chief Deputy Cody Scott says officers were looking for Romeo Ramirez, 38, to arrest him on charges of assault/domestic violence.  Scott said Ramirez refused to come out and instead tried to hide in the attic of a residence. Officers at the scene called for a negotiator and Ramirez was arrested before 12:30 PM. He will now face charges that are related to the stand-off.
