LUBBOCK & HOCKLEY COUNTIES, TX (KCBD) - A fire threatened as many as three homes on the Lubbock/Hockley County line Wednesday afternoon. Carlisle, and Smyer fire departments were called out to a location near Farm to Market Road 2378, although an exact address was not available at the time of this report.
A KCBD NewsChannel 11 photojournalist reported that by 3:20 the fire was not out but the homes were not longer in immediate danger. Lubbock and surrounding counties were under a fire watch Wednesday until 7:00 PM by the National Weather Service.
