LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A second suspect the 2009 death of James Ledbetter, 32, pleaded guilty Thursday.  Armin Tavarez, 40, was initially accused of murder along with two other people in the case.  However, Tavarez pleaded guilty on a charge of Aggravated Assault.  With it comes a prison sentence of five years. Tavarez might also be subject to deportation as he told the judge he is not a U.S. citizen.

Earlier this week, Albaro Castillo, 52, pleaded guilty in the same case.  Castillo took a plea bargain for Manslaughter and accepted a 20 year prison sentence.  Officials said back in June of 2009 that Ledbetter was hosting a party at his Northwest Lubbock County when a fight broke out and it ended in his death.
