Baron's Ball Kids Party Held on Saturday

The 2003 Cattle Baron's Ball is just a week away and the children who benefit from the proceeds were treated to a party Saturday. The children's party was held at the Kershner Four Bar K Ranch Saturday morning.

The party is held for kids who are battling cancer and those who have survived their battle with cancer. The annual Cattle Baron's Ball will be held Saturday, August 23rd at the V-8 Ranch.

For more information or to reserve your tickets, you can contact the American Cancer Society at (806) 792-7126.

Nearly $2 million has been raised since the first Cattle Baron's Ball more than 20 years ago. Of all the money raised, 70% stays in Lubbock to fund much needed patient services and cancer education. The rest goes to national cancer research.
