Mother remains behind bars for injury to her infant

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A teenage mother remains behind bars charged with injuring her infant daughter. 19-year-old Jasmine Francis is jailed on 150,000 bond.

Last week, the baby's grandmother took the infant to Covenant after she noticed an injury to her head. Doctors found the baby had a fractured skull and a brain hemorrhage and later had a stroke. According to the arrest warrant, Frances told police that the baby got hurt when she ran into a wall while holding the little girl.
