LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock woman admits she embezzled $787,378.08 from two Lubbock banks.  Mary Frances Dunn pleaded guilty Tuesday to Misapplication of Bank Funds By a Bank Employee

Dunn was an assistant to a PlainsCapital Bank Vice President for roughly five years.  Court records say Dunn manipulated a customer's line of credit to advance herself money.  At first it was just to pay bills but over the course of time she embezzled more than $630,000 from a single customer's line of credit.

Court records say in 2008, she left PlainsCapital for a job at City Bank.  Court records also say the customer followed Dunn with his or her account to City Bank.  From there it says Dunn embezzled an additional $157,153.37 from multiple lines of credit.

Court records say that City Bank was the ultimate victim.  Without commenting on the specifics of the court case, City Bank tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 that no customers were made to lose money because of Dunn's actions.

Dunn will be sentenced at a later date to no more than 30 years in prison.
