It looks like Lubbock voters are in favor of the proposed 3/8 cent, sales tax increase, that is according to an independent survey conducted for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. The survey was conducted by the Southwest Research Associates and was presented to chamber members on Thursday morning.
The survey asked voters if they would vote for, or against the sales tax increase. Of those who participated in the survey, 56% said they would vote for the increase, 36% said they would vote against it, 7% were undecided, and 1% did not answer the question. Of those responding to the survey, 85% said they were property owners.
The election on the proposed 3/8 cents sales tax increase is set for November 4th.
