LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Court records reveal a list of items that FBI agents wanted to confiscate from the Apartment of Khalid Aldawsari, 20, a native of Saudi Arabia, and more recently a resident of Lubbock.

Aldawsari is jailed on a federal charge of Attempted Use of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.  Court records indicate he was using Lubbock as his base of operation for plans to destroy numerous targets in California and Colorado.  Records also say Aldawsari had a desire to bomb the home of former President George W. Bush.

A search warrant for Aldawsari's apartment, a unit inside 2400 Glenna Goodacre Blvd, reveals that FBI agents wanted to seize:

  • Immigration documents
  • Banking records
  • Telephone records
  • Explosive device materials
  • Tools
  • Laboratory Equipment
  • Protective Equipment
  • Chemicals
  • Computers
  • Movies, Video Clips, Books, Pamphlets, or Other Writings
  • Documents

The explosive materials, according to court records, could include clocks, wires, batteries, or Christmas tree lights.

In a separate court document FBI agents wanted to search Aldawsari's vehicle, a 2006 Hyundai Sonata.  The FBI asked permission from U.S. District Court Judge Sam Cummings to seize from the vehicle a duffle bag.

The documents were unsealed on Thursday morning.  Click the links below to read official court records.
