LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County Grand Jury says there is enough evidence to send a man to trial for kidnapping. Members indicted Tony Swafford, 51 on a charge of aggravated kidnapping Tuesday.
Last month, police arrested Swafford following a stand-off at a home near Avenue U and the South Loop. Authorities received a call from inside the home, saying Swafford was armed with a shotgun. Police say he held his parents and a teenaged relative hostage for a time. The SWAT team responded, and authorities arrested Swafford without incident.
Swafford remains jailed on a $50,000 bond.
