She has been a vital member to the staff at the Garrison Geriatric Center in Lubbock and now she is hoping to become just as important to the U.S. Navy.
Wednesday afternoon Trisha Mims was sworn into the Nursing Core of the U.S. Navy. The Commissioning Ceremony was held at the Garrison Center where Trisha worked while attending Nursing School at Texas Tech. Now that she has graduated she will spend the next three years serving our country. "So many men and women have gone before me and this is my chance to give back to them."
The staff at the Geriatric Center said they are sad Trisha is leaving but happy to send her off.
