Lubbock International Airport is scheduled to receive over $1.3 million in federal money for future growth and security.
Interim Airport Director, John McGinley, says $1.3 million will go to a consulting firm to map out future needs for the airport, two parking shelters for vehicle screeners, and a new on-site airport police station.
The remaining money will carry over to next year's budget to help pay for a new parking garage.
