Source: LSOLUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A Lubbock man accused of severely injuring a seven month old baby was jailed Thursday. Authorities booked 23-year-old Ricardo Hernandez, Jr. into the Lubbock County Detention Center just before 4:00 p.m.
Hernandez faces two counts of injury to a child. The child was taken to the hospital last month, following a call to 9-1-1 by the mother. Doctors discovered the child was bleeding from the brain. Police report that a doctor told the mother,"Someone tried to kill your baby."
Hernandez told police he didn't know how the child was injured. His recommended bond is $150,000.
