Texas to Offer Information Centers to Get Students to Go to College

The state of Texas wants everyone to go to college. So, 50 "Go Centers" are opening across the state to help you or your children get an education.

A "Go Center" opened at Estacado High School Friday. The center is open to anyone in the community who would like information about college. South Plains College students and Estacado High School Seniors act as mentors to answer your questions about scholarships, financial aid, applications and testing. "There is an education out there for everyone. You just have to come to the Go Center and go get it," said Kristin Parrish, Estacado Senior.

A "Go Center" opened at Lorenzo High School as well Friday. "Go Centers" are set to open in Hale Center, Plainview, Ralls and Post later this fall.
