Paducah Dragons on fire to state title game

In the Class 1A Division II state semifinals, #3 Paducah easily knocked off Waelder 67 to 31 to advance to Saturday nights championship game.

The Dragons shot 48 percent from the floor and had 4 in double figures: AJ Cantrell had 17, Trey McGruder 16, Andrew Hastings 14 and Lonnie Hurd 12.

KCBD Newschannel 11 is in Austin and will have highlights and postgame reaction tonight at 6 and 10.

Earlier today Idalou beat Halletsville 75 to 64 in overtime to advance to tomorrow's 2A championship game. The Wildcats will meet Tatum, who upset #1 36-1 Melissa 70 to 57.

We'll have Idalou and Paducah State Title game coverage Saturday on the news at 6 and 10.
