Family and friends gather Saturday to remember Taris Knight - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) - Family and friends of Taris Knight gathered Saturday at Clapp Park to remember not only a father, but a friend who was gunned down earlier this week.

Knight,31, was shot outside of his home near 26^th and Ave. N when police say an argument between Knight and Cruz Aldaco had escalated. The gunshot hit Knight and his friend James Guess.

Ebony, the common-law wife of Taris, says he was a good person and a good father and he will be missed. He also leaves behind four children.

If you would like to help the Knight Family, a memorial fund has be set up at the First Convience Bank branches located at all Wal-Marts.
