Lubbock man re-elected to national workforce board

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man was re-elected as a Trustee of the Workforce Development Council Board of Trustees, according to written statement released on Friday.  Martin Aguirre is the CEO of Workforce Solutions South Plains.  He is one of 18 members of the WDC Board of Trustees.  Created by the U.S. Department of Labor, the purpose of the board is to "identify key issues in workforce development that affect cities" 

"I am honored to have been selected by Lubbock Mayor Tom Martin to represent the City of Lubbock and the South Plains region as the U.S. Department of Labor continues to address and develop solutions to strengthen America's labor force," said Aguirre.
