A truck driver is lucky to be alive, after his truck overturned south of Post Monday evening. According to Texas DPS troopers, the driver was travelling west toward Lubbock, when he somehow lost control of his rig and ended up in the eastbound lanes. That is when the 18-wheeler overturned.
The trailer was carrying calcium oxide, also called lime. Fortunately none was spilled on the roadway.
The truck driver suffered only minor injuries. Paramedics brought him to a Lubbock hospital for treatment.
