Condition Of Child-Victim In Labor Day Hunting Accident Improves

A 6-year-old boy's condition has been upgraded to stable after a Labor Day hunting accident in Dickens County.

Blake Garrett was shot in the foot when his half-brother tried to pick up a gun that fell to the ground. The gun discharged as the brother was picking it up.

Paramedics brought Garret to a Lubbock hospital just before9pm Monday night.

Monday was the first day of dove season in Texas.
