If you happen to see a cloud of smoke in the skies over the airport the next few days, there is probably no need for concern. It's all part of a disaster drill that takes place several times a year.

The smoke comes from the Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter Training Facility. That is where a mock air craft is set on fire, so Lubbock fire fighters can train for airplane disasters.
