Plane crash victim laid to rest

DICKENS COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Wednesday afternoon, family and friends said their final good-byes to Lubbock firefighter Jake Jenkins.  The 40-year-old died when his plane crashed in Dickens County Sunday morning.

Members of several area fire, EMS, and sheriff's departments also paid their respects. Jenkins leaves behind a wife and three children. Two memorial funds have been set-up to benefit the family. Donations can be made at the Spur Security Bank or at the WesTex Credit Union in Lubbock.

Services for Jenkins' parents, who also died in the crash, will be held Saturday in their hometown of Rockdale.
