Kristy Curry has interviewed for a vacant head coaching position at Louisiana State University.
Texas Tech spokesman Blayne Beal said LSU asked for permission to talk to the women's basketball coach and it was granted. Curry did not instigate interest in the job, Beal said, and her allegiance is with Tech and the growing Lady Raider program.
Curry's career started with high school coaching jobs in her home state of Louisiana, and she held several college assistant coaching jobs in the state, including Tulane and Louisiana Tech.
The Lady Raiders are coming off their first NCAA Tournament bid since 2005, and the university announced a five-year contract extension agreement with Curry last week.
