Identity of Plainview Toddler Released; Autopsy Results Pending

Two-year-old Robert Perez died at Covenant Children's Hospital Monday, after he was removed from life support. Twenty-four year old Johnny Rivera Jr. first claimed the boy had fallen from his high chair. However, Plainview police say the child's injuries are not consistent with Rivera's story.

Tuesday night, Rivera remained at the Hale County Jail on $200,000 bond.

The results of the autopsy have not yet been released.
