Birchfield sentenced to 65 years for Bures murder

LITTLEFIELD, TX (KCBD) -

A District Judge in Lamb County Monday sentenced Mickey Birchfield, 52 to 65-years in prison for the beating death of Ronald Bures, 52. Bures was discovered dead back in July of 2009, after his body was dragged into Hale County.

Birchfield's co-defendant, Brad Halderman, is serving a 20-year sentence for tampering with evidence.
