NFL star visits UMC

Children hospitalized at University Medical Center had a special visitor Tuesday afternoon. Former Red Faider and NFL star Zach Thomas stopped in to sign autographs and pass out footballs.

"Just to be here, part of these facilities and here with the UMC Children's Miracle Network is just an awesome experience for myself, more rewarding than when you see these kids smile and they see you as a hero. The real heroes are those doctors and those nurses. Zach Thomas former red raider and NFL linebacker"

Thomas says people, including Thomas, worry about a lot of things, but seeing children battling for their health puts it all into perspective.
