Winds knock down Lubbock power line

Posted: Updated:

Strong winds are to blame for blowing a power line down near 34th street and Quaker Saturday afternoon. The line fell on top of Asian Mart. It did not catch fire, but it did knock power out to several businesses and nearby homes.

Lubbock Police were called out to the scene in order to direct traffic. Power has been restored to the area.
