Lubbock's Tribute to 9/11 Wraps Up

Kastman Park is now clear after a five day tribute to the victims of 9/11. 3,412 flags were placed in the park, representing each person who died as a result of the terrorist attacks, two years ago. At the conclusion of the tribute, each flag was sold for $25.

All of the flags that were part of Lubbock's Tribute have been sold. But, 500 flags from Odessa's Tribute will also be for sale here in Lubbock.

You can buy or pick up pre-purchased flags at American State Bank at 14th and Avenue Q. American State Bank is donating all of the money raised to local nursing scholarships.
