Lubbock Police are searching for information in two armed robberies overnight, both within minutes of each other.

The first robbery happened just before midnight Sunday, at the 7-11 in the 2500 block of Parkway Drive. Witnesses say the suspect displayed a small handgun and fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Police are now searching for a black man, about 5'8''. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap and a black and white striped jacket with a hood.

The second robbery took place just minutes later at Joe's Mart about two and a half miles away. The store clerk told police the robber displayed a black semi-automatic pistol and took off with the contents of the register and a money bag. The suspect is also described as a black man, about 5'10'', weighing 130 to 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black sweater, black pants and gloves.

Police are not sure if the two hold-ups are related, however if you have information that could help police with either one, please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
