The live entertainment at this year's South Plains Fair includes a variety of musical acts. Among them are the Charlie Daniels Band and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Rides are already being assembled and inspections crews are scheduled to give a final safety check on Thursday.
Several new food items have been added this year, including fried Twinkies, fried Snickers, and pork chops on a stick.
The South Plains Fair opens Friday, and continues for 8 days until the following Saturday.
Fair-goers can get a sneak preview of the fun on Bonus Night, which is Thursday, when both parking and admission are free and rides are only a dollar.
