This week's Food for Thought restaurant report includes sweets, meats and all night eats.

Our four Top Performers and one Low Performer offer a little bit of everything. Let's start with those on top. From home cooking to beef and burgers to ice cream to grilled cheese and tater tots, whatever your taste buds are craving, they've got it.

Doll House Cafe at 1717 Avenue K gets things started this time with zero critical violations, making them a Food for Thought Top Performer.

You may recognize our next stop as a repeat Top Performer. Haynes Meat Market at 6302 Frankford makes the list again with a perfect score.

The temperatures are dropping, but that doesn't mean you've got to give up your scoops. Kaleidoscoops at 4902 34th Street is our next Top Performer with zero critical violations.

Rounding out the list is America's drive in, Sonic at 1609 Martin Luther King is a brand new restaurant that gets off to a great start with a perfect score on their inspection.

Our only Low Performer this week is Denny's at 607 Avenue Q. They get six critical violations. Violations including:

  • Sausage, meat and ham holding at 51 degrees. The food items were removed from below the counter unit and placed in a reach in unit. They did not warrant discard.
  • An employee was using a ware washing sink as a hand washing sink.
  • Labels on containers of pre cooked items did not indicate a date for discard, and sausage was not maintained at 140 degrees for an unknown period of time.
  • A refrigerator was not able to maintain product temperatures.
  • There were no towels at a hand washing station.
  • Utensils were found stored in a soiled condition.

The Manager at Denny's told NewsChannel 11 she had no comment. The report shows that two violations were corrected on site.
