Lubbock City Council Approves Lower Tax Rate

The Lubbock City Council voted to lower your property taxes by about two cents.

Previously, the tax rate was set to 57 cents per $100 valuation. After the second reading Thursday, the council approved a lower rate of .5457.

Lubbock homeowners can expect to see the difference October 1st.
