Buffalo Beano May Be Subject To Eminent Domain

The city of Lubbock plans to widen 8th street near University, but currently Buffalo Beano is in the way.

At a Lubbock City Council meeting on Thursday, members voted to offer the owners $150,000 to move their business to a new location. However if they reject the offer, the city can legally seize the property for public development, thereby leaving the owners with nothing.

The decision now lay in the hands of Buffalo Beano.
